MP3: Alan Wilkis, “Pink and Purple”
Back when Alan Wilkis‘ first album, Babies Dream Big, was released he was cool enough to e-mail me. Upon listening, I liked what I heard and posted about it on here. Well apparently the multi-instrumentalist from Brooklyn has been busy with a new EP called Pink and Purple.
The new six-track EP brings us new supremely grooveable beats, like those provided on the previous album. Once again it is difficult to pinpoint a genre to attach to Wilkis’ music. Bringing back the sounds of the 1980’s all while adding his own special touch, he definitely brings something special to the table. Check out the title track from the new album, “Pink and Purple”, below and consider purchasing it as it is pretty cheap. And cheap is always good.
