But... is Paul dead?Forty years ago, fans crowded around their local record stores all over America anxiously awaiting the moment that they could pick up their copy of a new The Beatles LP. Though not as widely regarded as “the best album ever” as Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Buy it now!), The Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour holds a special place in the hearts of fans of many generations. Some think of it as the moment The Beatles finally snapped, while some think of it as the peak of their creativity. I like it because it has my favorite song on it, “I Am the Walrus.”

A while back, on the fortieth anniversary, I brought you the original mono release of Sgt. Pepper. And you, my readers, came in force to download it. I actually had a request that I post the mono version of Magical Mystery Tour on it’s anniversary. And so here I am, appeasing you all. Enjoy the groovy tunes, maaaaaaaan…

    Hi,

    Do you have all the Beatles albums in mono posted somewhere and if so, how can I download. The only ones I see are Sgt. Pepper and Magical Mystery Tour. I have all the stereo versions but would love to have the mono versions as well.

    Just discovered your website a couple of weeks ago, and I really enjoyed the monomix of sgt. Pepper. Thanks a lot! I’ve been looking for that one. Now I’m downloading the Magical Mistery Tour, but ‘Baby you’re a rich man’ doesn’t seem to be available. Could you try to post it again? I’d be grateful.
