MP3: mc chris and the lee majors, “The New York University 8-Track Discography 10th Anniversary Edition”
Long before mc chris took to hip-hop music he, along with his friends from the pop-punk band Dirt Bike Annie, got together and created music under the name mc chris and the lee majors. Keep in mind that the actual Lee Majors and his six million dollar smile had little to nothing to do with this recording.
Dirt Bike Annie was formed in the mid 90’s, which happens to be about when the tracks on The New York University 8-Track Discography 10th Anniversary Edition were recorded. Released as a limited run on Whoa Oh Records in 2007, this compilation of ancient tracks originally recorded on 8-track tapes shows some of mc chris’ history. It was released with hardcore fans in mind, those interested in collecting the full library and hearing where our favorite pint sized, cartoon making hip-hopper came from. Now that the album is officially out of print and with the approval of mc chris himself I’m bringing the classic album to you all!
