MP3: Les Claypool, “Mushroom Men”
Lately I’ve been listening to Les Claypool’s new album Of Fungi and Foe a lot.
This latest solo outing from the renowned bassist is quite different from some of his extensive back catalog. The music culminated from two projects that Claypool had recently been commissioned for. The original soundtrack of the game available for the Nintendo Wii and DS called Mushroom Men was one of them. According to Les, “this music became the foundation of the songs that fill this collection. With a few added tidbits and a bit of gypsy sauce.” About to embark on a tour to promote the experimental album, Les Claypool will be traveling across the states and Canada to play for you his songs of fungi and foe.
