This song, by Malice Mizer, was the final single released before the Japanese band broke up. After Gackt had left the band as vocalist, the vocalist featured in this video by the name of Klaha stepped in to take over. Shortly after the release of “Garnet ～禁断の園へ～” however, the four members posted their official parting notices on the official Malice Mizer website. These notices can still be read to this day. That is… if you know Japanese.

The reason I decided to post this video is to bring attention to the upcoming Asleep By Dawn Magazine CD+DVD compilation, DJ Ferret’s Underground Club Mix #3. Information on the discs can be found by following this link. The audio portion of the release includes twenty tracks from artists and bands well known in the goth/darkwave/industrial scene such as Robert Smith (of The Cure), Subway to Sally, Lunascape, and Hungry Lucy. As for the DVD half? Music videos from even more artists and bands well known in the goth/darkwave/industrial scene including The Crüxshadows (woo), Type O Negative, Skinny Puppy, Otep, and… you guessed it… Malice Mizer. This video was the choice single for the compilation. There is also a bonus reading of “The Raven” by E.A. Poe performed by film legend (and Star Wars actor!) Christopher Lee. How much more goffic can you get?!

How much is this baby going to cost you? Well, it is available exclusively throughout Hot Topics everywhere (right next to the register) for the insane price of $6.98. Seriously. All of these music tracks and videos for under seven bucks. You have no excuse not to buy it. You have until October 30, 2007 to save up.
