Years ago Abney Park released a Christmas album by the name of Dark Christmas.

The first incarnation of this album in the band’s early years was simply a compilation of instrumental industrial reimaginings of holiday classics. Later, however, it was reworked to include vocals. The album never saw a serious release, however it caught on among Abney Park fans and fans of the genre all around the world. Their cover of Tchaikovsky‘s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies” became particularly popular.

After the break is the first track from the album, a cover of “Little Drummer Boy” done in their distinct style. Very unlike David Bowie and Bing Crosby‘s version from this earlier post.

The album, Dark Christmas, is available via the Abney Park Vault for a mere $7.
