Three Quarter Ale, original photo by tempest_faeOur fifteenth band in our Dragon*Con 2008 music spotlight is Three Quarter Ale.

Self-labeled “Ren-rock” band Three Quarter Ale hails from the Atlanta, GA area. They are regulars at the local Georgia Renaissance Festival and other local ren-fairs. The in-character trio is composed of Ariana Pellayle, Rosemary Quench, and Wicked Pete Speakeasy who are portrayed by Becky Cormier, Rivka Levin, and Dolph Amick respectively. The band cites the likes of Peter, Paul, and Mary and Loreena McKennitt as influences on their folk and Celtic sounds which replicates that of 17th Century madrigal music.

Check out “(It Was A) Lover and His Lass” from their 2003 self-titled album below and be sure to check them out if you’re attending the convention. And speaketh in character when you meet the lad and lasses to gather thine bonus points. ;-)
