VIDEO: Mindless Self Indulgence, “Never Wanted to Dance”
Part twelve in the Dragon*Con 2008 music feature is Mindless Self Indulgence.
MSI, as they are commonly referred to, borrows their sound mostly from the EBM and punk genres. The four-piece is composed of leader and vocalist “Jimmy Urine”, guitarist “Steve, Righ?”, bassist “Lyn-Z”, and drummer “Kitty”. While the band has been producing albums since 1999 they reached mainstream success in 2005 with their album You’ll Rebel to Anything. Their latest album, If, was released in April and houses their latest successful single “Never Wanted to Dance”. You can find the music video and an mp3 of the track below.
Mindless Self Indulgence will be playing Sunday night at Dragon*Con, which I can only assume since their tour brings them through Richmond, VA on Friday and Charlotte, NC on Saturday.
