MP3: Brobdingnagian Bards, “Jedi Drinking Song”
Our ninth band in our Dragon*Con 2008 music feature is a duo from Texas by the name of the Brobdingnagian Bards.
The Brobdingnagian Bards, pronounced “brob-din-NAHG-ee-en”, have become regulars at Dragon*Con. Though not listed on the guest page (as of yet), Marc Gunn announced on LiveJournal that they are confirmed. So keep an eye out for them, I’m sure you’ll run into them walking around entertaining random folks at some point. Their music is deeply rooted in traditional Celtic sounds with a pinch of filking. I’ve included their fun track “Jedi Drinking Song”, the perfect song to listen to while getting trashed with your Jedi friends. I’m also including a bonus mp3 that is very special to me, “Valeria”, which my wife walked down the aisle to at our wedding. It’s a beautiful piece.
