More from Dragon*Con, the great Luke Ski
the great Luke Ski is our seventh feature in the month-long 2008 Dragon*Con music series.
Luke Ski, or “the great Luke Ski” as he is known on stage, is a major player in the “filk” scene. With his clever parodies of popular songs and tributes based on all things nerdy including Star Wars, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, and much more he is a popular face among the convention circuit. He often uses comedic rap and hip-hop themes in his music, such as his latest song to be released “Scud”.
“Scud” is a tribute to Luke’s favorite comic book series, Scud: The Disposable Assassin. After writing the song, he decided to scrap together a music video in order to enter a fan film contest hosted by Scud creator Rob Schrab, eventually winning third place. More information can be found at Rob Schrab.com. Enjoy the video, located after a word from our sponsors…
