MP3: The Hellblinki Sextet, “Indelicate Brew”
Welcome to day two of You Sound Like a Robot’s Dragon*Con feature, held throughout the entire month of August.
The Hellblinki Sextet is a theatrical folk concoction of interesting sounds given off by unique, off-the-wall instruments such as the Glockenspiel or Melodica. The trio, with a notably misleading name, produces vocals from both band leader Andrew Benjamin and knickknack extraordinaire Valerie Meiss, bass duties being taken care of by Brad.
Hellblinki’s music can be enjoyed by pirate and clowns alike. Fans of The Dresden Dolls and/or the “neo-cabaret” scene in general should definitely stop by the band’s show at Dragon*Con and visit them on their MySpace.
