Another month has passed, and a special month has arrived.
August will be a special month in that I am dedicating it to the upcoming annual convention held in Atlanta, GA: Dragon*Con…

Each post will feature one of the bands playing at the convention, held August 29 to September 1. Unless something important comes up, August’s posts will be exclusively Dragon*Con related. Note that many great bands are performing at the convention this year, but there is an uncountable amount of other things to do at the con. Check out the official site by clicking the banner above for more information!
Like last year, July 4 was the birthday of two of my favorite musicians: Gackt and Rogue of The Crüxshadows. Each was celebrated in their respective posts, found here and here. I discovered a few new bands in July as well. One of the biggest moments was my Computer vs. Banjo contest, found here. The contest has since ended and the winners can be found below. Let’s see… oh yeah, Warped Tour! Check out my review of the festival in this entry! Also, I posted the unfortunate news of Dancing Ferret Discs closing and celebrated The Dark Knight‘s epicness by posting an eerie track from the original soundtrack.
I finished the month off with a brand new contest: Win a Signed HorrorPops 5″x7″ Picture. It is still active and you can enter once per day, so get to it!
As for You Sound Like A Robot itself, few changes have been made. I’ve added a new biweekly set of posts where I link to five music blogs who I think deserve to be linked to. Check them out here. Also, you may notice that I have changed my permalinks for specific entries. If you have a specific blog entry bookmarked at it’s old url you will need to update it. It’s for the best though, hopefully it won’t cause too much confusion. There’s always the menus and search bar to the right to help you find what you’re looking for.
CONTEST: Win Computer vs. Banjo’s Debut EP! winners…

- Ryan Fellows of Fresno, CA
Congratulations!
