YSLAR: Important News Regarding YSLAR

It seems that You Sound Like A Robot’s web host has decided that I have to remove every mp3 file hosted on the server from each post in the past four years. A devastating blow for a blog specializing in music.

Back stab'd

Thanks to someone delivering a “bandwidth bomb” of sorts by downloading a single mp3 over one hundred times simultaneously, they require that I either remove every mp3 file or provide documentation of permission from the song’s owner for each track. This would be simply impossible. Although most of the tracks uploaded on YSLAR are passed on to me via e-mail or similar means directly from the artist or a press company representing the artist, many of the messages have since been deleted and lost. Let it be known that each music file uploaded on this site was done so with the best intentions: to further the conquests of and help promote bands and artists who make music that I like.

I will figure something out, but in the mean time every link to a music file will become dead. Videos and images and such should not be affected, only the music files. Check back as I will still be uploading videos and a resolution for the mp3 files posted over the past four years of this site’s history will eventually present itself. Thanks for sticking with us.
