MP3: Ayria live @ The DNA Lounge; 2007-01-21
Canadian sythpop band Ayria is currently searching for a new live keyboardist for the upcoming tours, as their current keyboard player Joe Byer will not be able to attend any shows in the near future due to real life responsibilities. Joe is getting married this Fall, so a big congratulations to him. Go and check out his solo project, v01d, by clicking here! The requirements for the job are not very difficult to meet…
- You must have a flexible schedule and be willing to be on the road (not sure of any exact dates but definitely over the next year)
- Must have a valid “G” class license and a good driving record
- Must have a valid passport
- No criminal records
- No drugs & non smokers are preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be somewhat physically fit (if you’ve seen my keyboardist Joe live, you have LARGE shoes to fill in terms of energy)
- Must have an ear for music and sense of rhythm is crucial. Formal training is not required.
- I’m looking for someone with enthusiasm, personality, stage presence..
- Physical lifting is involved - (roadie duties) your responsibilities will include carrying merch boxes and stage gear in and out of venues
- Must enjoy Ayria music since you will be hearing it every night!![]()
If you are interested, send Jennifer Parkin an e-mail. You can find how to contact her via the original announcement on the band’s MySpace.
This is the final set to post from January 21, 2007’s show at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, CA. You can find the opening set by Ego Likeness in this previous entry and the finishing set by The Crüxshadows in this previous entry. Be sure to download all three in order to get the full concert effect. Ayria’s set, falling right in the middle, hosts a ten song set list. The show starts off with “Horrible Dream”, probably the most catchy song of the bunch. “My Device” is the following track, of which I’ve posted the video before. Eight more tracks follow, including the first live performance of their now-released The Gun Song EP’s title track and a brief reinterpretation of Kelis’ “Milkshake” in the track “Cutting”. After you download the concert, be sure to support the band (and your favorite blogger) by purchasing some of their merchandise via the links found below. Download links follow after a word from our sponsors…
