Eight Pumpkins, pic snagged from

A spooky picture of eight pumpkins seems appropriate for such a post, eh? Considering the time of year, that is.

1. mc chris, “han solo”

This track was released by mc chris on his Facebook pretty recently. The scruffy looking Nerf herder inspired song, “han solo”, tells the tale of everyone’s favorite smuggler and scoundrel. You may recognize the sound of the song as it is actually a parody of Jason Derulo’s “Ridin’ Solo”. There is a pretty sweet fan video posted online, watch it on YouTube here. Meanwhile, download the mp3 below.

Aligned Archetype is 18-track album filled with some pretty great tunes. “Third Eye” is actually one of them, watch the beautiful video filmed in Sedona, AZ for the song here. Masayuki Nakano together with Michiyuki Kawashima produce a unique combination of rock instrumentation and electronic music. They have actually been around for a while, freshly coming off the release of their “best of” album Over And Over. Give the leading track, “Kick It Out”, a listen here.

6. Tame Impala, “Lucidity”

The song featured in this creative and interesting video is called “Lucidity”. It is the latest single to be taken from the Australian rockers’ debut album InnerSpeaker. The video features a pretty intense ride from the ground upwards in a weather balloon. The balloon eventually reaches it’s peak high above the atmosphere and with a simple snap takes the camera back down in a wobbly free fall. Plus there’s a surprise ending, you’ll have to watch.
