This duo based out of the heart and soul of American music Nashville, TN first came to my attention over two years ago. Computer vs. Banjo had just released their self-titled disc. I listened to that album a lot. I still do. Naturally, I was excited to see that their latest album had finally been released.


Computer vs. Banjo



Riverboat Swing is the title of this album. The great thing about the release is that Beau and Johnny have decided to give it away for free! Seriously, how cool is that? They are also offering up multitrack files of each song for remixing and what not. The whole thing is an open source music making experiment of epic proportions. Recreations of the tracks from the general public will be shared on the band’s blog giving countless takes on ten great songs. Download the whole thing for free on the official band website. I’m including a couple of my favorites from the album below, “Railroad Believer” and “Glue”.
