More from George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, The Beatles
We have reached the tenth chapter in our posting of The Beatles classic animated series. The third and final season begins with these episodes, thirty-four through thirty-six. Season three aired in 1967 and is the shortest season, boasting a mere six episodes.

All of the episodes are uploaded as they originally aired, sans the commercials of course. Thanks are in order to McCKLENN who uploaded the series onto YouTube for all to enjoy. Each episode follows the same pattern. A cartoon based on a single track from The Beatles starts the episode, followed by two sing-a-long features, and rounded out with a second cartoon.
1 – 3 | 4 – 7 | 8 – 11 | 12 – 15 | 16 – 19 | 20 – 23
24 – 26 | 27 – 30 | 31 – 33 | 34 – 36 | 37 – 39
The thirty-fourth episode begins with a short based on the track “Penny Lane”. A detective named James Blonde boasts the nickname 00 because when girls see him they say “Oh! Oh!”. When The Beatles notice that fangirls seem to overlook the fab four in favor of the dashing detective they become jealous. When the four overhear a few criminals conspiring about a robbery at Penny Lane they hurry to a barber shop on Penny Lane to thwart the thugs. The two sing-a-longs feature the tracks “Good Day Sunshine” and “Rain”. In the next cartoon, “Strawberry Fields Forever”, The Beatles encounter an orphanage filled with sad children. It is up to them to entertain the skittish bunch and make their day just a little bit better.

Episode thirty-five kicks off with a cartoon based on one of my favorite tracks from The Beatles, “And Your Bird Can Sing”. The four are out with two hunters in search of a rare bird known as the green double-breasted tropical woosted. The woosted is unique in its ability to sing practically anything and its keen wit. A great short in my opinion. It is followed by two sing-a-long features comprised of the songs “Penny Lane” and “Eleanor Rigby”. The next short is called “Got To Get You Into My Life” and features The Beatles in India. They learn a trick from a Swami Rivers in which they remove their souls from their bodies. The only problem is their bodies walk off without them!

Number thirty-six in the series begins with a cartoon based upon the track “Good Day Sunshine”. A depressed Ringo Starr comes to realize that he is a jinx and everything he touches seems to break. Four weekends in a row it seems to rain on Ringo and the rest of the gang, ruining everyone’s time. When they show up at Carney Island on a sunny day it seems to happen again. Once The Beatles perform their track “Good Day Sunshine” it seems to clear up, however. The two sing-a-long features include the songs “Strawberry Fields Forever” as well as “And Your Bird Can Sing”. In the next short called “Ticket To Ride” each of the band members have their own hobby. Paul McCartney is into modern art and George Harrison dabbles in electricity and robots. John Lennon is into writing and Ringo Starr is into catching birds. Not any birds, I mean birds as in English slang for women. When John releases Ringo’s caged “bird” she flees for freedom. This episode actually features a Beatle chasing a girl for once, quite the change of pace.
