More from John Lennon, The Beatles
Back in 1968, The Beatles were reaching the end of their careers as a band. Each member had their own thing going for the most part as arguments in the studio grew more and more rampant. John Lennon was widely considered the most stubborn of the lot.
We’re all familiar with the popular versions of Lennon’s song, “Across the Universe” which was featured on the band’s last release, Let it Be, but very few have heard this unreleased version that Lennon recorded by himself that I came across one day. Honestly, I may prefer this stripped down version. John seems to pour his soul into this song more than the mainstream recording.
To my knowledge, with the assistance of Google, this version isn’t online anywhere else. At least not on an easily accessible website. So, until this entry catches on and more people notice and begin reposting the song, I pride myself in knowing that this mp3 is (to my knowledge) a You Sound Like A Robot EXCLUSIVE!©
Enjoy, it is in 320kbps mp3 format.

okay, that is just cruel!!! CRUEL!!!!!
I’m disappointed – I thought this would be the one with the birds on it, from the WWF album that also had Spike Milligan on it. But this version is available everywhere. Was this recorded after Ringo replaced Pete Waterman?
Wasn’t this covered by Rick Astley in the 80s?
I refuse to take a chance at being Rick-rolled.
Sucked my sorry ass right in! Thanx! Most excellent!
[...] did I accomplish in the month of April? I got a lot of people on April Fools Day. I posted an entire Ego Likeness show here. Oh! I accidentally made a lot of people angry on [...]
This is actually pretty hilarious. Nice job.
Heh…you wasted your time writing all that just to make a really poor “joke”.

Hey, it was April Fools Day. And honestly, are you worse off for hearing some good old Rick Astley? I think not!
