By now you have likely heard of the devastating oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico. After an explosion killing 11 folks on a BP oil rig 40 miles off the Louisiana coast the entire Gulf looms in danger as the underwater gusher continues to spill around 200,000 gallons of oil every day.

The effects can already be seen as dead sea life and murky oil washes on shore among the beaches where I was raised. It’s a very unfortunate thing to happen. The situation reminds me of the track from Michael Jackson titled “Earth Song”. It is featured in the new concert film This Is It accompanied by some pretty stunning visuals. Check out an mp3 after the break. Did you ever stop to notice… the crying Earth, the weeping shores?
