MP3: Kermit the Frog, “Bein’ Green”
Today is World Frog Day!
Is there any frog more well known than Kermit of The Muppets? I thought not! Dig’Em of Honey Smacks fame may think he’s the top frog, but nope! There’s also that frog in a blender from Joe Cartoon. Remember that? Those were the good old days of the internet. Oh, the Budweiser frogs were pretty novel for a while. I also remember being quite fond of Michigan J. Frog as a child, the lovable Warner Bros. character famous for his cartoon rendition of “Hello! Ma Baby”.
Nope. None of them can top the Kerminator!
Anyway, this song was originally written in 1970 by Joe Raposo for the classic show Sesame Street. The phrase “it’s not easy being green” has since become a household statement. I mean, everybody knows this song! Enjoy.
