Based out of Brooklyn, NY April Smith is a talented new singer/songwriter on the scene with a great voice. April and her bandmates, known as the Great Picture Show, produce some fun pop music with a bit of inspiration pulled from the sounds of the 1930s and 1940s.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign their debut album came into fruition. Released just recently, Songs For A Sinking Ship features eleven tracks compiling together to form a pretty darn good disc. Check out some upcoming tour dates and the song “Colors” after the break. It is probably my favorite of the bunch but it is pretty difficult to pick one!
