MP3/VIDEO: Seven Songs That I Am Into Right Now
There are too many cool songs going through my head lately. Here are seven more of them.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now. Post these instructions along with your 7 songs…
1. Abney Park, “Until The Day You Die”
Steampunk aficionados Abney Park just released their newest album, Aether Shanties… wait… Æther Shatnies. The special character is the correct way to type it. Anyway, you should check that out. I really dig this band. I first heard this song back at Dragon*Con during their performance. It’s fun. Buy the album here.
2. The Sounds, “Beatbox”
I actually had the opportunity to catch Swedish new wavers The Sounds live. They were the first act back when I went to a No Doubt concert. The latest video that they put out really caught my attention. The song “Beatbox” is from their newest album Crossing The Rubicon.

3. Stealer’s Wheel, “Stuck In The Middle With You”
I first heard this classic Stealer’s Wheel track in the Tarantino movie Reservoir Dogs. It plays during this particularly memorable scene. I really like the actual track though. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of Stealer’s Wheel music out there though.
4. Michael Jackson, “They Don’t Care About Us”
Lately this Michael Jackson song has been going through my head. It was featured in This Is It, a pretty cool video sequence made for it. Michael Jackson filmed a music video for the song in the streets of Brazil including a nifty drum break toward the end.

5. Michael Franti & Spearhead, “Say Hey (I Love You)”
I heard this song on the radio and really got into it. Then it happened to show up in an episode of Weeds that I was watching the other day. It’s like this song is stalking me… but in a good way. Michael Franti and his band Spearhead released this song as their newest album All Rebel Rockers’s first single. Enjoy.
6. Fozzy, “With The Fire”
Fozzy has a new album coming out soon titled Chasing The Grail. Watching Chris Jericho tweet about it @IAmJericho peaked my interest in the WWE Superstar’s metal band. Check out this video from the 2002 album Happenstance. You can see Y2J and the gang do Michael Jackson’s famous “Thriller” dance about two and a half minutes in.

7. Colonel Claypool’s Bucket Of Bernie Brains, “Ignorance Is Bliss”
Les Claypool put together C2B3 with the help of Buckethead, Bernie Worrell of Parliament Funkadelic, and Brain (formally of Primus). This song is the final track on the supergroup’s one-off studio album, The Big Eyeball In The Sky. Since I first heard the opening lyrics I knew that I would really like this song, “When Jesus saw the pain of the things done in his name he packed his suitcase and his golf clubs, filled his pockets full of grain. He said ‘To hell with all of this’ then he blew a farewell kiss. To be all knowing is quite stressful while ignorance is bliss.”
