MP3: The Crüxshadows, “Avalanche”
This post is intended to serve two purposes. Firstly, The Crüxshadows. They are awesome. They have a new single out and you should all check it out. I also wanted to share a cool music site with all of you called ReverbNation.
While supporting their new single, “Quicksilver”, The Crüxshadows have launched a new online effort to utilize ReverbNation in order to gain new fans. I have been registered at the site for a while now and I’ve learned that it is a great way to keep up with bands that you like and even discover new ones. I would highly recommend that you guys go and check it out and be sure to join The Crüxshadows’ street team to keep up with them. You can do that by simply entering your e-mail below and registering for the site. Unfortunately, Quicksilver did not reach as highly as it should have on the Billboard charts. Following up the success of Immortal by selling even more copies at this year’s Dragon*Con and other stores, hopes were high. The final results for opening weekend put Quicksilver at #7 on the Hot Dance Single Sales Chart and #32 on the Hot Singles Sales Chart. A dismal result compared to the band’s previous single releases. Apparently all of the CDs sold at Dragon*Con did not count toward the total numbers reported to Billboard. Despite the excellent sales during the first week, the mainstream didn’t seem to acknowledge the accomplishment. A lot of that going on lately.
A new dancer has also been announced for the band’s lineup throughout the upcoming European and South American tour. Hopefully Stephanie “Boris” Griffith will be able to hang out longer than Holly’s single convention appearance.
