Stricken City is a pretty unique indie pop-rock band hailing from across the pond in London. The female-fronted foursome will be releasing their new album Songs About People I Know stateside on November 3.

Stricken City

Iain Pettifer, the band’s guitarist, first met the band’s vocalist and keyboard player Rebekah Raa in math class. Since then they have joined forces with Kit Godfrey, the band’s drummer, and incorporated the styling of Mike Hyland on bass. A limited edition of the new Songs About People I Know will be released in the UK on the early date of October 12 through Puregroove Records, so those lucky Brits will get to hear the album almost a full month before us. In the mean time, check out this track from the upcoming CD: “Pull the House Down”.
