Yes. The entire hour-long made for TV The Beatles film. Forty years ago today, the film premiered on BBC1 to a very, very negative response. A key problem with the original airing of the special is that they did it in black and white… whereas the film relies pretty heavily on being shown in color. I mean, I assume this is what it would be like to trip acid while listening to your collection of The Beatles records.

It’s my favorite of their films, anyway, for all that’s worth.
